Separating and defining aisle ways, large work areas, walkways and inside loading docks is always a challenge for industrial engineers, plant operations personnel and safety managers.

Barriers  often need to be removed temporarily for unobstructed maintenance or other access to an area.  Layout flexibility and the ability to relocate barriers at minimal cost is an important factor.

SpanGuard Safety Barrier provides a substantial highly visual physical barrier that addresses all of these issues.

SpanGuard's unique tensioning system using a 20:1 gear ration crank along with vertical fiberglass rods on 10 foot centers allows the curtain barrier to be easily tightened or retracted totally out of the way in one to two minutes by one person.

A 200 pounds resistance force keeps workers safely in their work areas and withstands inadvertent fork lift or other equipment bumps without damage.

SpanGuard can create a 60 foot long barrier with only two floor posts.

Specifications:

• 30 and 60 foot clear opening width units are available.  For opening widths less than 30 or 60 feet excess curtain is stored in the storage cylinder.
• Overall unit width is clear opening width plus 33-1/2 inches
• Steel posts are 4 inches square x 49 inches tall powder coat painted safety yellow.  Base plates are 10 inches square and are mounted with 4 each 3/4 x 5-3/4 inch concrete anchors supplied with the unit
• Curtain is constructed of black PVC coated vinyl mesh with 2 each 4 inch high black and yellow polyester straps and fiberglass rods on 10 foot centers
• Curtain storage cylinder is 14 inches in diameter black ABS and can be rotated 90 degrees to facilitate easy storage by one person.  Built-in crank and tightening mechanism incorporates a 20:1 gear ratio for ease of operation.
